The Dash Club -

I was given the book 'The Dash Club' by Darrell D. Simms to read by a colleague. The premise of the book is to define your "dash".

Your "dash"? Well as the author explains and goes on to give you guidance on defining your dash; it's the space in between your birthdate and your deathdate. On a headstone for a grave site, it always says your name and some thoughtful words or not but then there's the place where it shows your birthdate - deathdate. The dash is your life and how you go about living it, or not.

I decided to take the time to blog about not just my thoughts on reading the book but hopefully how I will start, refine, redefine or continue my dash. See despite what some say and many think, life is hard. Many people like me don't always know how to enjoy life, find peace and contentment. Everyone struggles but some, like I have, have let their struggles define their dash. I want to change that.

This book may not have all of the answers but so far it's giving me great pointers and a different perspective. I also see that it's not always grey clouds, I have had some sunshine. :-) I'm only on chapter 2 but I will continue and hopefully help someone while helping myself.
